The Journal's Point of View

We begin with a small question: does this use of technology make the guest better understood, or merely more closely recorded?

Follow the preference, not the hype

Quivabubblecacts is an independent information website about AI-personalised hotel experiences. We write for curious travellers and hospitality professionals who want a practical explanation rather than a product pitch.

A preference travels through several decisions: how it is collected, interpreted, used, passed to staff and eventually removed. Looking at that whole journey reveals both the convenience and the boundaries that a glossy demonstration can leave out.

Pair every benefit with a boundary

The possible benefit

A recommendation narrows a large choice to a manageable shortlist.

The practical boundary

A shortlist is only as reliable as its information, constraints and explanation.

We distinguish an illustrative scenario from a verified property feature. We do not test individual rooms, maintain live inventory, rank hotels or claim access to guest-management systems. Photography establishes an editorial atmosphere; it does not depict accommodation being offered for sale.

Use public reference points carefully

Our explanations draw on established concepts and public guidance, including the Information Commissioner’s Office, the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, the Food Standards Agency and tourism accessibility principles such as ISO 21902. References provide context, not endorsement of this journal or certification of a hotel.

Examples may refer to places such as Edinburgh, Lisbon, Helsinki, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Vienna, Barcelona, Paris, Dublin and Rome to make travel constraints easier to picture. They are not a destination ranking. Different properties, jurisdictions and service providers can work very differently.

Keep the relationship clear

We are not a hotel operator, booking service, legal adviser or emergency support channel. We are not affiliated with the hotels, standards bodies or public organisations mentioned in the journal. This site does not provide a live AI concierge.

We welcome corrections, useful questions and suggestions for clearer explanations. When raising an editorial issue, include the page address and the passage in question, but leave out booking references, payment details and sensitive personal information.
